James Sumarac becomes adopted brother of Grandmaster Chen Yun Ching and Chen Yun Chao

In Australia, on Saturday the 24th June, Sifu James Sumarac had the sincere pleasure and tremendous surprise to be asked by Grandmaster Chen Yun Ching and his brother Chen Yun Chao, to become their adopted brother.

Whilst Westerners may not be aware of these acts of sincere affection it is a common practice in Chinese tradition.

Grandmaster Chen and Sifu Sumarac performed a traditional ceremony in front of assembled students and guests and offered their bond of brotherhood in front of the altar of Guang Gong offering ceremonial incense burning and ending with promises of co-operation as brothers in the furtherance of Chen Pan Ling's legacy.

Sifu Sumarac will be accompanying Grandmaster Chen Yun Ching on his extensive tour of USA.

Sifu James stated how honoured and grateful he felt being adopted into one of the finest Chinese Martial Arts families and promised his continued support in continuing this tradition.
